How We Work
Real world practicality. Three words used a lot and yes they can be platitudes. But what we mean to say by those three words are that we value real people who simply want the best solution to their problems – and while there is a legal solution it is not the only solution.
Come to us as a valued advisor and you will be amazed at the speed at which a great resolution can be obtained.
What is the real problem? Not just the superficial problem contained in the lawsuit papers or in the letter you may have just received. By this we mean that often times there is a fundamental breakdown in a relationship – with your business partner, colleague, customer, employee, vendor, etc – and that breakdown manifests itself in the written, often accusatory word.
We like to probe beneath the surface because if we can diagnose the actual cause of the breakdown and work the problem with a legal solution at that level, a more meaningful result can be achieved.
We are thoughtful but bold in our approach as we work towards the desired outcome.
Clients keep coming back because — as they tell us again and again — we have a knack for breaking down complex legal matters into solvable problems. And further they know that we will stand alongside them. We listen and we hear.
What you need for your first interaction with us
When you recognize that you have a problem that needs to be addressed, call us. We will want to have a brief conversation over the phone and then will require an initial meeting, preferably in person, but it can be accomplished over Zoom or other teleconference platforms.
We will want to spend time getting to know you and what your goals are for your legal case as that will make us most effective in representing your interests. We will ask you to share your perspective on the other parties in detail. We may ask for you to bring the documents that relate not only to the issue but also the background documents. We will ask you to create a special file for your interaction with us and will specify what documents should be gathered and kept in that file.
A timeline may be critical depending on the nature of the case or the matter – and we may ask you to bring one to the initial conference.
We see our clients as our partners. As our client, you will always be included — consulted and informed — throughout the process of your legal representation.
What you can expect from us at the initial meeting
We will do our best to make you comfortable, we will provide you with directions and parking locations, and we will respect and honor your time. We will provide you with our honest assessment of your situation. We will tell you what to expect in terms of fees for the work, and a realistic timeline for resolution.
